Job, South Africa

I've been assigned to South Africa.  I don't know what this means for my extracurricular work, but I feel bad having to tell Paige that I have to leave.  There are some really interesting opportunities down there, but they almost all consist of reporting back to the offices there and going farther inland most of the year into jungle or off the coast and underwater.  I've never worked on submerged curses.

I leave the next week.  I will have to say goodbye to everyone and pray they stay safe.  I will write them though, just so they know I'm not dead.  I hate this, but it's what I wanted when I signed up, so I won't refuse like a baby.

I miss England already and I haven't even left.

I have never cried so much in my life.  Arrived in South Africa, exhausted and blotchy...and pasty.  There are a number of opportunities for me here, and I've been told that my specialty is in high demand.  None the less, I've still opted for a short seafaring gig.  I can do my specialty stuff in between trips.

The cursebreaking scene is not like Egypt.  It is a small affair and branched off into a bunch of odd directions.  There are a shitload of cursed objects around though, which makes for interesting work.

We'll miss you, Randy. Try not to get roped in to too many jungle missions, eh? One can only put up with that for so long.

Remembering the Congo is enough to deter me. Trust me. Though at least I do have the ability to mildly blend in with monkey bretheren there. XD

Be safe.

I'm sure you'll blend in well with those furry creatures... Yes.

You too. Keep in touch.
